Ways for financial advisers to market themselves
You've done the hard work, getting your website up and running after identifying your focus as wealth management (or retirement planning, breath of products, services). Now what?
The best tools for marketing are those that get your message and brand across:
- A brand that makes you visually stand out, it could be strong and dramatic or quiet and subtle. One that is you.
- An engaging website, that interacts with your clients and clearly defines your value, products, services and ethos
- Regular communication with clients and prospects
- Advertising in local directories and spreading the word on social media
- Referrals from existing clients
Advisers need to communicate regularly with their clients. An annual meeting allows too much time for a client to investigate other options and not enough opportunities to build on a relationship.
Regular and often is best. A newsletter gives professional advisers another opportunity to show the value of what you offer, which is of vital importance if you offer an intangible service like financial advice.
Frequent communication gives you the opportunity to make the intangible, tangible. By engaging with clients' needs and showing your expertise, clients will remember you. Hopefully they will pass the word round their family and colleagues.
Use your newsletters to communicate!
